Brain & Behavior Initiatives

Neurobehavioral insight, cognitive performance, behavioral science, and applied frameworks that can inform better support systems and evidence-based practice. This initiative bridges scientific understanding with real community need.

Initiative Mission

What this initiative focuses on

Behavioral and neurobehavioral science has meaningful implications for how support systems, educational environments, and community programs are designed. Yet this science is often poorly translated into practice β€” either overclaimed by fringe approaches or underutilized by institutions that could benefit from it.

INCLUSA's Brain & Behavior Initiatives exist to bridge this gap β€” drawing on genuine science, applying it responsibly, and integrating behavioral insights into programs across educational equity, neurodevelopment, and community resilience.

We are rigorous about evidence standards. We do not apply behavioral science claims that outrun the evidence. We engage honestly with complexity and uncertainty in the field, and we report outcomes with appropriate nuance.

Focus Areas

Examples of focus areas

These represent examples of the kinds of activities and outputs this initiative may pursue β€” not exhaustive commitments or guaranteed deliverables.

Neurobehavioral Research & Application

Drawing on neurobehavioral science to inform more effective, humane support frameworks for individuals facing behavioral and cognitive challenges.

Cognitive Performance Frameworks

Developing and applying cognitive performance concepts to educational and community contexts β€” grounded in science, not pseudoscience.

Evidence-Based Behavioral Practice

Identifying, evaluating, and applying behavioral approaches with a clear evidence base, adapted responsibly to diverse community and institutional contexts.

Applied Behavioral Science Tools

Translating behavioral science into practical tools that practitioners, educators, and organizations can apply in real-world settings.

Cross-Domain Integration

Connecting behavioral science insights with educational equity, neurodevelopment, and community resilience β€” recognizing that these domains are not isolated from each other.

Ethical Research Standards

Maintaining strict ethical standards in all research-adjacent activities, including informed consent, honest reporting, and community benefit as the primary evaluation criterion.

Partnership Pathways

How to collaborate

INCLUSA welcomes collaboration with researchers, practitioners, academic institutions, and organizations interested in applying behavioral and neurobehavioral science to real community challenges.

We are particularly interested in research collaborators who share our commitment to honest evidence standards and community-relevant application.
