Our Commitment
INCLUSA Institute is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We believe that inclusive design is not only a legal and ethical obligation but a core expression of our mission to advance educational equity and inclusion. We continually improve the user experience for all users and apply relevant accessibility standards to our digital properties.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for all people. We acknowledge that some areas of our site may not yet fully conform to these standards, and we are actively working to address any known gaps.

Visual Accessibility
- Sufficient color contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards
- Text that can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
- No content that relies on color alone to convey information
- Descriptive alt text for all informational images
Keyboard Navigation
- All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard

- Logical tab order throughout all pages
Screen Reader Support
- Semantic HTML structure with appropriate heading hierarchy
- ARIA landmarks and labels for major page regions
- Meaningful link text that describes the destination or action
- Form fields with associated labels and error descriptions
Multimedia
- No content that flashes more than three times per second
- Captions and transcripts provided for video content where applicable
- No audio that plays automatically
Technical Specifications
Our website relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG 2.1:
- HTML5 with semantic markup
- CSS3 for visual presentation, with fallbacks for older browsers
- WAI-ARIA 1.1 for dynamic content and advanced user interface controls
- JavaScript (progressive enhancement approach)
Our website has been tested with the following assistive technologies: NVDA screen reader with Firefox, VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS, and TalkBack on Android.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, some content on our site may present accessibility challenges. Specifically, some older PDF documents linked from program pages may not be fully accessible. We are in the process of updating these documents to meet accessibility standards and providing accessible alternative formats upon request.
Third-Party Content
Some content on our site is provided by third-party services. While we select third-party providers with accessibility in mind and request that they meet our accessibility standards, we cannot guarantee full accessibility for all third-party content. We will investigate any accessibility issues reported for third-party content and work with the provider to address them.
